In recognition of Mental Health Week, BioLAB is hosting The Resilience Project. This week is all about valuing mental health and wellbeing and focusing on building and maintaining a healthy mind. So get up! Dance, exercise, enjoy some music, laugh and do something wonderful for someone.

Making a simple task more complicated? Over 30 teachers from primary schools around the Geelong region gathered recently to discuss bringing STEM into the classroom using Rube Goldberg machines.

Athlete Growth Hormone Study Session

Humans continually push the limits in sport to be faster, higher, stronger. Understanding how the body (and cells) respond to different signal has become an important research topic in both human performance and medical fields. Recently we ran a VCE Biology Study session that explored these issues.

Twenty six students from schools around Geelong had the pleasure of delving into the Science of Athlete Performance with Geelong Football players Harry Taylor and George Horlin-Smith and Sport Scientist Jacquie Tran.

Athlete Fatigue Study Session

Our 2017 Study Session Series has started! We held a very successful study session focusing on the Science of Athlete Fatigue at Deakin Universities wonderful new Elite Sports Precinct on 27th April, 2017.
