At BioLAB we extend beyond our programs to offer teachers and students the opportunity for further learning. We provide a range of professional learning workshops, pre and post program teaching and learning resources, as well as STEM resource kits.
Teachers who book into our programs will have exclusive access to the events calendar which includes relevant industry nights, conferences and information evenings. Heldthroughout the year, these sessions cover a number of key themes
WebEx Seminars and Learning Spaces BioLAB has capitalised on the introduction of WebEx into the education sector. We host WebEx learning spaces with teachers looking to collaborate with resource development and knowledge.
BioLAB hosts a number of in house workshops which focus on increasing confidence and networks amongst VCE teachers in the region. These sessions cover various “hard to teach” topics across the VCE PE and Biology study designs
Each year we host regional STEM network meetings for primary and secondary educators. Each meeting includes professional sharing, professional development opportunities and mentoring.
Our STEM boxes come packed with all the materials and instructions you will need to engage students in STEM. These boxes are designed to develop student’s critical thinking and scientific inquiry skills, as wells as extending the student experience beyond a BioLAB program.
Every BioLAB program provides teachers with pre and post program teaching and learning materials to assist students to build further understanding in STEM applications. They are linked to the Victorian Curriculum F – 10 or VCE outcomes.
