We are very excited to be in the final planning stages for our fantastic new partnership program with Deakin University. Our resident fibre technology specialist Dr Anthony Ellis is working with Dr Paul Collins from Deakin’s Sports Engineering course on BioLAB’s latest program offering, Materials Technology. This engaging new hands on program will introduce students to the various aspects of materials technology and sports clothing development and will focus on the design of the surfing wetsuit.
Students will have the chance to investigate a range of properties in wetsuit material and also investigate the effects of cold water on human performance and physiology. This program builds on a range of research projects that Dr Collins has been engaged in and showcases’ real life’ research to students and teachers.
