BioLAB has run another successful Student Study Session with 30 VCE Biology Students from schools around the Geelong region joining us for a fantastic night of Molecular Biology at BioLAB.

Students performed a protein analysis practical with experienced BioLAB staff, Deakin University internship students and VCE Biology teachers. They then used these results to determine the signal transduction pathway in muscle cells in response to growth hormone.

This study session was designed to help to consolidate VCE Biology Unit 3 knowledge and also give students the chance to study alongside students from other schools and talk about career and study pathways.

These BioLAB Study Sessions are a wonderful way for students in the Geelong region to meet and work with other students from around the region, in addition to meeting and working with staff from various scientific, industry and educational backgrounds.
