The Human Machine (VCE)

Secondary ProgramsOnsite

The Human Machine (VCE) allows students to learn experientially, immersing themselves in a range of physiological tests to look into the body’s acute response to exercise.

The program looks at three distinct areas of physiological measurement; cardiovascular, muscular and respiratory. Students gather their primary data, analyse results and engage with key terms and concepts for each acute response.

This program utilises leading edge technologies such as ergometers, physiological sensors and iPads in our Deakin Human Performance Laboratory to explore the acute responses to exercise and the science of human performance.
